Animal Farm - 1954 - Animal Farm is based on George Orwell's classic novel, It is a story of revolution where the animals overthrow their cruel owner to run the farm themselves and create a more equal society eventually to be dominated again by their Stalinist leader, the pig Napoleon. The film was produced by the British animators John Halas and Joy Batchelor and was one of the first British animated feature films to go on general release.
