The Flamingo Effect follows Ava, a young woman who struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts after facing intense online bullying. Her neighbor and best friend Sage helps her heal using a variety of spiritual practices. Sage’s mother Veda jumps in as her therapist.
Ava is also visited by her guardian angel, Mike, who shows her an alternate reality where she doesn't exist, revealing how her life positively impacts those around her. Ava lives with her father and grandfather and reconnects with her late mother and makes amends. Ava rediscovers her passion for art with the help of new friends Miguel and mentor Pierre. Ultimately, she moves to Florida with Sage, who achieves her dream of saving flamingos.
