2023
Supported by their mother’s inheritance, Ysé, a young woman suffering from social anxiety, and Simon, her narcoleptic brother, are trapped in a codependent relationship, leading a life of idleness, devoid of meaning and direction. On her 21st birthday, when she finally gains access to her share of the inheritance, Ysé discovers an additional clause in the will: she must complete forty hours of volunteer work at the Béatrice-Caron Center, an eponymous organization founded by their late mother. This challenge will force Ysé to confront her anxieties, her grief, and to reassess her way of living. Ultimately, she will have to choose between toxic comfort or emancipation.
